Haven't even seen Homecoming and I'm voting for it. ASM was meh and I hate Tobey Maguire as Spidey. Legit hate it.

2 with Tobey was really good

But after seeing Holland, Tobey's performance seems really awful in comparison

He actually cried without looking like a dork like Maguire. He actually looks like a high school kid, unlike Garfield and Maguire. He just pulled it off so effortlessly and is believable as Spider-man.

Homecoming was fantastic and Holland did the best portrayal of the character, but damn Spider-Man 2 was just flat out awesome. Gotta go with that.

Yep. I just like the overall plot and Peter's character arc so much better. And that train fight scene.

2 is still the best, but Homecoming is second best imo. I really dislike how his suit practically makes him Ironman Jr and all the convenient plot points such as Vulture being Liz's dad .

Overall it's still a solid 8/10, I just hope they tone back the damn suit.

proving that he's above the suit was literally the point of the movie. and every movie has convenient plot points. If we didn't learn the truth about Vulture and Liz the stakes wouldn't have been nearly as high at the end. The tension in the car ride was incredible.

Haven't seen Homecoming but I pretty much agree that Tobey was...alright as Peter, but kind of a bad Spider-Man. What happened to the high-energy quips and jokes? Garfield was terrible as Peter but pretty good as Spider-Man.

Haven't seen Homecoming yet so still Raimi 2 for me. From the trailers I think Homecoming would probably take the top spot. Never saw Amazing 2 though.

Talking about Spidey movies is great, they've rebooted it enough to make everything sound nonsensical. Looking forward to the existence of a Spider-Man 2 marathon. Should release it as a box set.

Homecoming, Raimi 1, and Raimi 2 are the only good ones. HC might be the weakest of those 3 though.

Yeah, not really criticizing Tobey on that one. The writers just kinda...failed on that.
Though to be honest, the video game adaptations do a bit better on that but they don't seem high-energy. Though that comes from Tobey probably not being too experienced with voice acting (with that you're not given much context to work with since you're not "there" in the scene).

Well... regardless of whether he was in charge or not, he still didn't give as good of a Spider-Man performance as the HC guy did

Not to mention, the lack of quips of just one thing that makes the Raimi movies weaker. Spiderman is known for his quips. Thats like havinf Thor use a katana instead of a hammer. It's not a full representation of the character. Raimi focused too much on struggling Peter rather than spider man.

The Raimi movies are Not bad, just not as good as HC.

Homecoming was a better mahvel movie, spidey 1&2 were better SpiderMan movies. Homecoming was to limited in scope in an effort to justify the lack of spidey in mcu

There's just no way to be a better spidey movie without Mary, jj, and Osborne
If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all
