a massive ridge of high pressure is building along the west coast of north america where temperatures are expected to break records as California will see over 110F and Oregon and Washington will see 95+. It will be just as bad as neighboring states as Nevada and Idaho will see scorchers as well.
British Columbia, Canada will also be toast as temperatures rise to 42 degrees INLAND as a risk of forest fires will definitely increase
People are expected to drink plenty of water and to stay cool and not stay out for long as this heatwave will stick around for several days starting Monday night and until possibly FRIDAY!!

I always laugh when forecasters here say to be prepared for triple digits when it only applies to "INLAND" areas. I'm closer to the bay side where it'll be in the 70s max but these weather forecasters always mean it like these triple digits will be hot in all parts of California.
