It was invented by Hitler. I mean PERSONALLY by Hitler, & he did a lot of unethical stuff to Jews to get it. You have to decide what do with it.

That's essentially what I envisioned the first option as. It isn't covering up the origin, but trying to convince people not to focus on the obviously controversial aspect of it.

Sell it for billions to a pharmaceutical company. They'll pay out the ass to keep a cure from being release as it's far more profitable to manage cancer than cure it.

I'd probably pretend I created completely by myself.
But not because Hitler was a horrible person, but because I found it, I deserve the glory. The history books aren't exactly crazy accurate as is anyway.

Cancer can hit anyone, people working in pharmaceutical companies wouldn't be immune to it, or their relatives or friends. Also, there's just no way to keep something like that big as a secret. Someone would leak it eventually, and the risk of getting caught would be too big. When the company would eventually get caught of keeping it as a secret, the company and everyone involved would get probably life time in prison. If not, people would go apeshit over that.
What would you do if your friend or family member or SO died of cancer and you found out later that some company had a cure for it all along but didn't feel like treating anyone? Pretty damn pissed, hell i would do some shit that i can't say here without getting modded. Now multiply that with tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands. The people responsible would get killed and their companies burned down.

I'd release it, but I'd be a bit conflicted on what to say about its origin. The path of least resistance would probably be to downplay / invent its origin. People would want to know its origin for obvious reasons, so probably the latter. Once people verify it works, they won't care so much.
A lot of people suffered to produce it, so I guess you could argue that they would have suffered in vain if you ditch it.
Also, to be clear, there was very little scientific value to any "research" done by the Nazis IRL. Much of it was racism / other bigotry disguised as research (e.g. sterilizing certain sections of the population), the methods used and reporting done were slap-dash, there was no scientific basis to much of it (e.g. the famous twin research), etc.

Pretty unbelievable set of options, to be honest. None you provide in the poll are the right one :). Yea, let's be cowardly f***** and withhold the truth. Maybe even hinder the production of the cure, because the guy was a maniac and/or because nothing good is ever allowed to come out of

Anyway, I would obviously release the cure, after ensuring I get significant compensation, of course. AND I would also be completely clear on the fact, and from now on till the end of time, every cancer victim owes good old Adolf, ME and some 100-200k Jews or something, one :). Don't like it? Well, then. Instead of withholding the truth, withhold the treatment on yourself (Hah! Wonder how many would have the balls) and, uh... die!
I imagine it would be quite amusing to see, all manner of supposedly
impartial
historians, scientists etc. scrambling hopelessly trying to do the downplaying/rewriting or whatever the f***, I didn't do.

So either destroy the cure and allow the lives sacrificed to get this cure go to waste, or release the cure regardless of its origins. Decisions, decisions.
