I'm biased because I used to live an hour from NOLA and I've never been to the other two cities. Just has an old school city vibe when you walk downtown, which I don't get walking downtown in D.C. or L.A. or Vegas (where I currently live). Honestly kinda miss the easy trip to the Big Easy I used to have.
There's a good local music scene spanning many genres and a whole square dedicated to artists that will draw a portrait of you or your family in their style, many to choose from. Of course there's the voodoo scene as well.
Just a unique city and I've been to quite a few major cities in the country, none really can compare to it. Of course there's areas you should avoid but which major city doesn't?
Everyone walks down the street with open containers of whatever there all the time. If you plan on drinking or barhopping it's probably the friendliest place for that too
No one sings like you anymore
