Earthquake gives less warning and there isn't a way to run away if the warnings are missed.

Not to mention you can try to take shelter from a tornado or hurricane but you can't take shelter from the earth breaking under you.

The strongest recorded earthquake was a 9.5. Also, its a logarithmic scale. 10 would be insane.

Anyone with a basic understanding of science should fear a 10.0 earthquake more.
