He lost a few sponsors, so in that sense I guess he actually was fired. But he's not fired from his day job.
If you're referring to dannon yogurt, he isn't losing any money (other than not re-signing with them in the future). They haven't terminated his contract or anything, they're just not going to use him to promote their product anymore. He's still getting paid until his contract is up.
