Better singer?

Had this conversation earlier today, interested to see what CE says.
Cornell is the better singer, but Kennedy has the better voice.
Cornell is the greatest male vocalist of our generation, possibly all time.
How can one person post so much stupid s***?
didn't we just have a dumbest question on CE topic? I think I found a contender.

Chris Cornell is one of the best vocalists of all time.
Boom! That's right, this is all happening! You cannot change the channel now!
Act now! Venchmen are standing by for your orders!
Cornell by a massive margin. Alter Bridge is complete garbo.

On a purely technical level of range, Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour) has 2 extra octaves on him.

I disagree. I think Myles is of course talented, but Cornell has a better more pleasing voice. If anything Myles is maybe on a technical level a little bit better.

Also, CC has to get the edge given he wrote so many songs and hits. Kennedy is great, but he lacks the natural abilities Chris had
For the record I was on Cornell's side. Just was curious how many people out there (on CE) preferred Kennedy.
Kennedy, but I honestly hate Soundgarden, so it's probably more about that.
Kennedy, his work with Slash lately has been awesome.
Bump for day CE
Cornell easily.
Now playing: Destroy All Humans 2
I bet if Cornell didn't kill himself you'd all say Kennedy.
As a Level 37 Sage, I expect to be treated with proper respect and acknowledged for my dedication to the GameFAQs Message Board Community as a whole. Thank you.
Chris could actually sing, myles voice is like listening to nails on a chalkboard he has no range.
You can't beat a classic.

I mean, even Kennedy himself has talked about how amazing Cornell's voice was and how it's once in a generation, even going past that and saying his voice was unparalleled just in general.

Dead or alive, this would still be a divisive debate.

Cornell voice was like an angel singing. Sad I will never see him live
While I may not agree with your opinion, I will defend to the death your right to have it.

They're both pretty good.
PONG WAS REAL? I thought that was just a story parents told kids to scare them
Cornell. No contest.
I'm a chick
Cornell is the best singer of the last 30 years. God rest his soul. Soundgarden is one of the most underrated bands of their time.
I saw him solo in 2008 and with Soundgarden in 2011. He eye****ed me in the front row during Searching With My Good Eye Closed at the solo show. It was intense.
what a disgraceful topic, Cornell is rolling in his grave over being compared to some generic butt rock artist who basically sounds like Cornell if his balls never dropped
Cornell

I'm an Alter Bridge fan and when I saw them live last month his voice kept giving out

No he didn't, he was making a mental note about possibly having to inform security about u
I will maintain that the Badmotorfinger album is one of the top achievements in heavy music of the last 25-30 years. No one was on the level of Jesus Christ Pose or Outshined or Slaves & Bulldozers in the vocals department. Let's also not forget the guitars, drums and bass. Everyone was on fire.

And then with Superunknown they change up their sound and make a better album? Hot damn. Love this band.
