You compliment someone and they say nothing back.

Just complimented my leasing agent's hair. Literally was just talking to her. But she opted to not respond or even look at me.

I felt like she heard me, but I just walked away silently. Now I feel like I should have said something.

Some girls don't want to risk the chance of replying and coming off as condoning a guy (whom they're not interested in) flirting with them. So they ignore it. It's kind of rude, but given how a lot of guys can't catch cues and they don't want to give the wrong impression and just aren't forward enough to be clear on their intentions without worrying about "breaking the mood", what can you do?

Wtf? I legitimately just thought her hair color was nice :/
