N64 for nostalgia reasons. GC was probably a better system overall other than those silly minidiscs, but I dun curr

N64 had one of the worst controllers ever. gamecube had one of the best.

games-wise, it's possible to make an argument for either system, though I still prefer Gamecube - Pikmin 1 and 2, Pokemon Colosseum and XD, Melee, Double Dash, Sunshine, Paper Mario TTYD off the top of my head.

Cube, easily.

A lot of the best games on n64 have superior sequels on GC, and two of the most important N64 games (Zelda OOT and MM) have ports on the GC. Then you also have all of the other great games on GC too - Eternal Darkness, Metroid Prime 1/2, Pikmin 1/2, etc.

64

The only games I truly bothered to play on GC extensively were The Twin Snakes and Melee.

N64
-Stronger "best" games (imo)
-More/better platformers
-More nostalgic

GameCube
-Better controller
-Larger & more varied library
-A lot of cool Game Boy peripherals like the link cable & the Game Boy Player

Gamecube by far. N64 may have had about 20 or 25 games worth playing, whereas Gamecube had triple.

64 had the best game of the best series, and it was an exclusive (ogre battle 64: person of lordly caliber)

I grew up with both and I can say without a doubt I like the N64 better. It has a much better charm than the GameCube, much better 1st party games overall, more unique and interesting console, and better exclusive, unique variety of games.

GameCube had a better controller though.

I went from SNES to GC to N64, and the N64 seemed like complete ass. I really only got to play SSB when it was in it's hayday, and that was the shit though.
