why or why not? i'm also curious to hear from people that fervently hate crypto currencies and specifically knowing why.

I invest in real estate. It's not fast money (usually), but it never fails to be a very secure investment with good returns.

No. I'm happy with my investments as they are, and while I could probably make some money on cryptocurrency its seems too much like the futures market, and I stay away from futures.

It's a ponzi scheme. Imagine if I create some labor intensive way to make a fictional currency. Let's call it Gil. I declare that I will make no more Gil after 1 million so there's no inflation and the price will only go up. When people tell me my Gil is worthless, I will say isn't the dollar also worthless? The dollar only has value because people think it has value. People think Gil has value. Okay. Now give me $10k for my 1 Gil.

Do you not care about the technology incorporated in company's coins/tokens or? For example, NANO has recently been integrated onto Twitch and cuts out the middle man allowing streamers to take more profit? NANO is also instant and feeless transaction-wise. It's infinitely more than just about money.

back when everyone was talking about it I was annoyed how it just seemed to be everywhere since I didn't care about it at all. and then there's just constantly people screaming about "oh this is going up" or "watch out this is going down" or etc etc. so I looked into how to buy some and put a little bit of money into it because I figured it would be more interesting seeing all this and watching it go up and down if it at least had some relation to me

turned out it didn't really matter since the big start of year crash was right after that and that made everyone stop talking about it anyway lol
