Should I be allotted more vacation time in exchange for not playing foosball?

For those unfamiliar, I'm basically blackballed from foosball in the office for arbitrary reasons that have never been explained to me (tl;dr: my boss thinks it's "funny" to keep me off the table and everyone else just follows suit because they're all kiss-asses).

How foosball in the office works; playing hours are 11am to 1pm and after 4pm (because when we first got the table, we played all the time and nothing got done - so a little structure was added). Generally, people play for about an hour, give or take. So like 11-12 or 12-1. Nobody's actually playing two hours straight from 11-1, of course.

Generally, the same four people are on the table during those hours, referred to as Guys 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Almost always guys 1-3 are there (guy 1 being the boss, guy 2 being his "right-hand guy" and guy 3 being the office kiss-ass). Then Guy 4 is generally "next man up" because his desk is next down the aisle. Guy 6 only comes in the office once a week or so and Guy 5 is generally a workaholic. Then there's me, who is up for a game anytime, but again, because my boss thinks it's funny to straight up bully me by exiling me from the table, I never get to play.

SO. Guys 1-3 will straight up AVERAGE two hours of foosball a day. That's a lot. That's over 8 hours a week. Now, giving me a whole extra day off a week would be preposterous, so I'm willing to compromise, of course. I should be given a hell of a lot more vacation time than these fucks do, though, if I'm working two more hours a day than they are. And make no mistake, the hour they play between 11-1 does not include their actual lunch periods . So these people will play for an hour, and then go get lunch.

And here's the other thing; Guys 3, 4, 5, and myself, all also have our phones hooked up to the general sales line, where it rings when a customer calls in with general account questions. Soooo, when these guys are all playing foosball, guess who has two thumbs and is all alone in manning this pain in the ass phone line? THIS GUY!

I would compare it to companies in Japan and Canada (link below) that are offering a full extra week of vacation to non-smokers to compensate for all the breaks that smokers get:

What do you think? Do I have a case here? Should I be allowed more vacation time? Or maybe be allowed to leave at 4 or so every day when they start playing? (which is what I've been doing since this whole fiasco began)

Huh? I don't want to take it away from anyone. I just want to be treated fairly.

Objectively, it's not fair that I have to work two hours more at the same job than my peers. They should either let me play, or give me more time off.

I'm not. This has been covered. I've checked myself over and over and I do or say nothing differently than anyone else. I'm middle of the pack when it comes to talent; I'm not so fucking good that it ruins the game for everyone, but I'm not so fucking bad that it ruins the game for my partner.

Yeah that's understandable. This is a tiny satellite office though, it's not like I would go to corporate or anything. I'd just talk to my boss about it directly if I felt like I had a legit case.

i actually am in talks with a recruiter from my old job and he wanted to set up an interview with the hiring manager but holy shit is he bad at responding

Sounds like this is likely the case. And boy, talk about acting entitled. I doubt TC is even truly working during the two hours per day he could be playing foosball, hes probably just dicking around online.

Actually no, I don't. Because if they don't have to work, then neither do I.

Of course, if I could work out some kind of deal where I leave at 3 instead of 5 to compensate for the two hours they don't have to work, then yeah I'd work during those two hours where they're playing foosball. Because that's fair . This isn't.

The bottom line is regardless of your Foosball situation at work, you really don't have a legal case for extra vacation.

Your boss also seems to hate you, so that means the chance of you convincing anyone to actually do this is terribly unlikely.

Did you try confronting the people about this. Like ask them straight up why they never let you play?

oh yeah i know, appealing to anyone beneath his umbrella would be dumb. mainly because it wouldn't work. the only shot i'd have is to go to his boss who comes in once a week or so.

not yet, my main issue being that, even though it's childish of them to blackball me, it would be just as childish of me to bring it up because i'd look like a kid getting picked last for dodgeball

I can't say anything about it or I'll sound like a kid who didn't get picked to play four-square or some shit. WHICH IS IRONIC IN ITSELF because for something as silly as workplace foosball, that they would go so far to orchestrate this whole scheme to keep me off the table.

plus they'll pretend they know nothing about it anyways. they're treating it like a schoolwide prank, where the "cool kids" are in on it and would be blackballed themselves if they ruined it
