yup. i stuck my foot in some quicksand in malaysia at a beach. it was basically like stepping into water. pretty sure if my whole body was in it, id just float.

You can get trapped in it waist high and not be able to get out, but you have to be an unlucky fuck goofing around wet sandy areas all by yourself. Basically the only way anyone dies by quick sand is by misadvenure.
