what are these unholy abominationswell the smash one is an abomination but the actual hitbox is great because of how fast and clean directional inputs are with it. buttons just make more sense to me than a stick for non-analog 2D control

Just this one. Had good experience with their game pads in the past, and figured this one would have the best compatibility with the systems I play on (mostly PC, some Switch)
I kinda get it, but at that point why not just use a keyboardbecause the keys on a keyboard are too small, are not in an ergonomic layout for a fighting game, and don't press as well as arcade buttons do
