How'd they fix the backtracking? I'd assume the problem would be fixed by teleporting between savepoints or something.

Resident goth girl joins our team. I assume she's the love interest since we already held hands and bonded over murdering the crazy old man jedi. She...could've gotten rid of the undead plaguing the way back, though...just sayin'.

Whoa, that shot where I'm climbing a wall in a dream and it turns into a bird's-eye view of a war trench was pretty nice.

Oh great, my least-favorite trope of all time: I do all the work, collect all the MacGuffins, do all the puzzles, and at the last second, the prize is stolen. Why must hack writers torture me so?

Oh, I guess those clowns with the purple weapons can be parried. It just doesn't seem like it since they have four-hit combos that launch into an unblockable all the time. Exploring that wrecked Venator on Zeffo right now after finding out the road to the ruins is blocked for some reason. Maybe they'll link up.

Anyway, I 100%'d Bogano and Ilum. Might try to do some of the other places now that I remembered you can see where secrets are in the map sections. Kinda dreading going back to Kashyyyk for this stuff, especially that tree section...hopefully I got everything the first time through.

I dunno if its just me but I found Trilla to be hella hot.

I'm curious if I end up killing her in the end or just doing the "let's cut off that hand for ya" tactic. I did that to 9th Sister and I did it to various enemies, so it's really the jedi move du jour. Hopefully they don't wuss out and have her sacrifice herself in a moment of redemption, fall into a pit of lava to rob me of my victory, etc.

Ooh, I enjoyed the ending and am excited to see your reaction to it.

Anyway, still in Kashyyyk doing stuff, but I'm toward the end now. Probably gonna leave the rest 'til later to see how the USA-Japan baseball game is going to turn out. It's sure to be one for the ages.

Welp, went to the fortress, flooded most of it, beat up Trilla (and had the kill stolen by Vader), then ran away after being hit by my own lightsaber. We learned the location of the younglings (?) who can be the next jedi, but then Cal just cut the thing in half, so...there's that. And everyone survived all thanks to that wookiee who gave us a rebreather earlier -- nice.

It was kinda funny seeing BD try hacking Vader's suit, though. When in doubt, just dump water all over him and that'll probably do something. He looked like he was having a bit of difficulty holding the rest off him, haha. I'm sure that killed him and we'll never see him again in the future.

I'm doing that now since it's been a couple years when I beat it and I enjoyed the storyline. Thing is the unlockable Grand Master mode is fucking self-abuse given how skill points don't carry over and the game is extremely janky at 60fps, making precise parrying and 2 hit deaths the complete opposite of fun. The unlockable meditation training is not worth it either.

It's purely a cinematic Star Wars gaming experience like Uncharted. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, it gets a bit tiresome when you're doing a spin move (etc.) and realize you have to parry, only to have the timing miss because you can't force cancel the move you're doing. Same goes with trying to heal when you're being knocked around, stunned, and so on. Venturing into higher difficulties with this crap to deal with...naw, I'll save myself the torture.

Overall, fairly enjoyable, though I'm not the biggest SW fan in general, so some of the appeal is lost. I'll go check out the new sequel trailer, now that spoilers ain't an issue, haha. Hopefully it has better dialogue, 'cause I get the sense that some characters (like Greez) are trying to be funny and everything they say tends to fall flat. Even Aloy's jokes landed more often and she had the personality of a featureless beige wall.

I got the serape and ignored everything else thereafter. It's the least I could do as a fan of westerns.
