A double victory.

It will be pretty funny if a lot of young people migrate to Threads after bashing how being on Facebook is for old people.

Yeah, I did think about that when I made my post.

However, I feel like people put up some mental block on the connection between IG and FB, perhaps because IG has been around for so long. Threads is literally Zuck's newest thing, so there's no real way for people escaping Twitter to escape that fact.

I'm glad there is an alternative that is actually catching on. Twitter seems to just get worse by the day.

The problem with Threads is that it's not good to use. Like, if I, as a baseball fan, wanted to see people posting about the home run derby right now, there's just no way to guarantee that. But I might see their posts pop up out of context sometime tomorrow.

You need to be curating your content, start following MLB pages and such, and you'll see it. I do hope they improve the platform overall tho of course. There is always room for improvement.

no, people have to download and sign up for threads independently of ig. you don't just have a threads account with your ig account, you have to specifically download the app and sign up for it

I can't help but wonder if Musk would have grown into a better man if he'd had received any of the many ass kickings he's earned over the years. It's too late for him to develop into anything resembling a better man, but hopefully he'll start catching a string of civil ass kickings in court.
