It has a few plot points that kind of retroactively fuck with the existing movies / continuity. For example:Rhodey has been a skrull since Civil War and the real Rhodey is in cryo and has missed all the events since.
Was this confirmed?only frame of reference I caught for how long Rhodey was in cryo was "a long time". Nothing that to me indicated a specific event

It doesnt matter what the showrunner says. I doubt Marvel goes along with his idea.
FeigeNone of this means anything.and Cheadlewere directly involved in the decision (url behind spoilers for obvious reasons):

The secret invasion director in a later interview confirms when it happened:

"A lot of people have asked about, 'Definitively, when did Rhodey...?'"Secret Invasiondirector Ali Selim said in an exclusive interview with ComicBook.com. "I think his legs not working in the end of episode six and him being in the hospital gown points to [Captain America: Civil War]. And, from there, does it have to be definitive, or is it more fun for the audience to go back and revisit every moment, every Rhodey moment and look at it with a different lens now that they think, 'Oh, he might've been a Skrull there.' And make the decision for themselves, or it'll be answered inArmor Wars."
The only ambiguity remaining, which is itself used as a tease for a future project, is whether this is true for literally every scene or only some of the scenes, but either way it's confirmed canon at least some of the past movies.
I thought it was just OK, but the ending was so predictable. This, and most of the decisions made, especially in the finale, are mind bogglingly stupid.
MCU might as well be put on hold but we know that wont happen...
I don't really know if it's that much worse than the other shows. It's just that the finale was horrendous and kinda ruined the entire show.
The main problem is it's indicative of a lot of the MCU's recent missteps, probably moreso than any series before it.
The comic Secret Invasion wasn't great. The central idea of "anyone could be a Skrull, trust no one" is inherently good and the comics absolutely under served it. But it made up for it with a lot of raw spectacle. You had all your favorite heroes fighting hoards of skrulls with a bunch of variety of powers.
Now for a bunch of budget and scheduling reasons we were never going to get spectacle of the comics so they really needed to nail the skrulls in disguise aspect. And I thought making the story into a spy drama would be a really good way to bring the most out if that concept...but they ultimately just flubbed it. There was no mystery, no suspense. You had a show focused on Marvel's premier spy man and it never felt particularly competent.
Isnt the whole premise of the showaccushuly, iz krull? Sounds lame
Does the show make you care? No. He has like 1 really good scene, then is just completely unlikable afterwards. The only reason anyone is even talking about him is because the timing isn't super clear.

Sadly, I think it's pretty clear at this point that the more Sam Jackson's Nick Fury is in the spotlight, the less cool and interesting he becomes. His best work over the last five years worth of moviesturned out to be Talos imitating him, lol.

Unless theres anything else to suggest it. I think the only
Talos Fury we ever truly see is in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Ive only seen two episodes, but theres no way its worse than Ms. Marvel.
