Interesting. It sounds like it's mostly for cosmetic purposes though, and may never grant any vision so I feel like we're still a ways off. Still cool though.When they did the story about this on CBS today, they mentioned part of the guy's brain showed activity when they shined a light into the new eye, so while it's not a sure thing, it's possible he might get his vision back in it one day. His doctor seemed cautiously optimistic about it.

Sure, its mostly donated for now, but how long until a company comes along working as an organ broker between the rich and the needy.
