I knew I loved this movie but never knew my favorite directors had a hand in making it. A huge one Id assume, since theyre executive producers
Does the movie have anything of value to offer besides a pg13 humping scene with lorelei from Gilmore girls?

What is with 2003 and bad Christmas movies that some people weirdly love. Elf, Bad Santa, Love Actually... like jeez what else
Seems like you have a minor case of RAS syndrome
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

pretty sure executive producers don't really do anything, they generally fund the film and it's also like a glorified title in some cases

anyway yeah they were probably at the parties and meetings tho

Disclaimer: There's a good chance the above post could be sarcasm.

"I was today old today I learned"

Yeah, I really like Bad Santa. Dude's just trying to live and learns to give a shit, even if just a little.

I think the executive producer is basically the person that gets the movie made. I think a lot of times it is a glorified title, but I find it hard to believe that the coen brothers in 2003 being the executive producers of a movie starring Billy Bob Thornton, who had just been in the man who wasnt there, was a glorified title

RAS is Redundant Acronym Syndrome. If you have a small case of RAS syndrome it's no NBD but a severe case can make things FUBAR beyond all recognition.

The Coens had developed the concept for Bad Santa , before eventually hiring the writing team of Ficarra and Requa to bring the story to life.[5]The Coens told Ficarra and Requa that the story would center on an alcoholic "bad Santa" who seeks redemption very later on; additionally, they wanted it to be as funny as The Bad News Bears . Afterward, Ficarra and Requa completed what they described as a "really crass script", with the Coens adding "a bunch of crass jokes".[5]

so they did more than meetings and parties
the coen's added him saying "thank the fuck christ"

i distinctly remember this from the commentary on the bluray

funniest movie ever made btw
