I could see how some people would find this troubling, but I always hated split screen fighting games and I cant remember the last time I played couch co-op that wasnt a sports game anyways

Bad decision if BN doesnt put local multiplayer in. Split screen was fun.

It's a bit of a bummer but not a deal breaker. My Tenkaichi rival and I haven't seen each other in over a decade and my roommate seldomly leaves his room anyway.

These fucking bandai games not having crossplay, local multiplayer etc pisses me off. When will these fuckers finally start catching up? Crossplay should be a bare minimum.

You mean, local multiplayer should be the bare minimum. Crossplay is somewhat understandable if their respective console-makers doesn't want to play ball.

Well there goes the local scene and it being more of a hassle if they want to do local tournaments. Also considering this is a BandaiNamco game I doubt they would put in the extra effort for a well implemented Rollback Netcode system, so expect online to be ass as well. It's probably clear as day they are probably only aiming after the hardcore Dragon Ball fans, which is probably a smarter financial move to do for maximum profit so I can't blame them either. I don't even know if an anime arena fighter would even have a good competitive scene. They try doing that crap with Dark Souls and it's just horrifically unbalanced lol.

It sucks, but the biggest concern is

- How close the gameplay is to BT2&BT3, and if it can stray away the raging blast games
- Launch Roster and how much DLC there is. BT3 had 160 characters in a era before DLC was popular, and selling dlc characters with the 'Full power Energy wave' ' Full Power Energy Volley' etc probably isn't gonna fly today

I didn't even really care much about the minutiae of the gameplay itself, I just loved having a downright absurd number of characters to choose from
