The new trailer for Echo contains scenes directly from the Daredevil show.
We been known it's canon, but some people still were denying it.

So glad they ditched Daredevil's garish yellow costume.

If that means more Vincent D'Onofrio then I am in.

The yellow costume worked for She-Hulk's tone, but yeah it couldn't have stuck around for these more serious shows.

I'm glad they brought Charlie Cox back as Daredevil and didn't try to find someone else.

Im pretty psyched to have him, DOnofrio and Bernthal back as Punisher in one show. The three of them were all so good in their respective roles.
Ill admit this does look good but sucks for Echo actress that no one will give a fuck about her in her own show.

I mean, that was doomed to be the case from the start. Who even cared about her enough to ask for her own show? I'm glad we're getting Firk/Murdock content out of it, but they probably knew nobody would bother watching if they didn't put them in.

I thought Daredevil left Netflix years ago. Wasn't that the sign Netflix didn't own it. They were just renting it.

Yeah, it's on Disney+ now.

But people were saying for years it wasn't canon to the MCU anymore, it was just in its own continuity or whatever.

Yep, all three are in the whole season of the new Daredevil show coming out soon. Ive watched all three Daredevil seasons, Defenders, and the first Punisher so far. Gotta finish Punisher season 2 and Ill be ready for it.
Damn, the show looks good.

Vincent D'onofrio is great as the Kingpin.

I'm excited to watch him and Charlie Cox.
Good. Daredevil is my favorite Marvel superhero, and the Netflix show was quite good.

It's wild because they were still trying to say it wasn't canon even after the actors came out and said they're playing the exact same characters from the shows.

Even after Daredevil wore a literal repaint of his Netflix costune.

Yep, glad they're back. They can recast everyone else, tho I hear Kristen Ritter is open to returning as Jessica Jones.

IIRC, the original plan for Born Again was to have Jessica Jones appear until they replaced her with Punisher, so that makes me think they plan on keeping her in the role since they easily could have recast.

Speaking of which, I've also heard rumors that Kingpin is supposed to kind of be the "Thanos" for the street-level Marvel heroes, meaning there's likely plans for an eventual crossover with The Defenders, Echo, Punisher, Spider-Man and likely the two Hawkeyes.

i saw hawkeye and i enjoyed it and i completely forgot that echo was a character in that show

that said, can't wait to see more daredevil and kingpin. hope this can lead to a cool spidey/kingpin movie down the line.

Because until now, it was part of the multiverse but not directly MCU. Slight changes to Kingpin, but mostly because Feige and co explicitly kept all tv/Netflix shows as external to the MCU. They referenced it but it never referenced them in any meaningful way.

This does.

To be fair for years and years the Netflix stuff was overall seperate. They're doing it now because they have the rights.

The stuff with Kingpin in Hawkeye also made it a bit questionable that they weren't going to do a loose reboot of the characters similar to what they did with JJ. He didn't really feel the same.

It always was canon. The only reason the movies never referenced the shows was because of internal drama between Perlmutter and Feige. IIRC, Daredevil was even supposed to show up in Infinity War until the plans got scrapped.

But that's the thing. If it went different they could have also completely ditched it and nothing would have changed.

If something outright is never referenced or used in movies it doesn't really matter if it's canon or not because it doesn't make a difference to anything. It was obvious that people who made the MCU movies didn't have to consider the Netflix stuff at all and it seemed like the opposite was happening as well.

When we saw Matt appear in SM:NWH, it was pretty much a the netflix show is canon, this is now just hammering home for all the doubting non believers. Those of use who never doubted from the beginning just get to say I told you so.

Yea I am getting The Villainess vibes from the trailer. Maybe this will be the first female lead show to not be attacked if she ends up being a female John Wick type character.
Hey now.
This might also mean that, by extension, the Hulu shows (Runaways and Cloak + Dagger) could be canon too, since the Netflix shows directly reference characters from them and vice-versa.

Cloak & Dagger appeared on Runaways, Runways season 3 used the exact same Darkhold from Agents of Shield...

Its what they should have done for the Defenders show in the first place...this time don't let Iron Fist get anywhere near anything.

Yeah, the back half of season 2 is the weakest part of Daredevil for sure. Season 3 is kind of a slow and bleh start but once it kicks into the Bullseye part it gets way better.
Ive yet to see season 3 of Daredevil, I saw the first two seasons and Defenders (along with the first seasons of JJ/Luke Cage/Iron Fist) than just stopped with the whole series of Netflix shows. Ill get around to them again eventually, but itll take time because I probably will have to restart them all since its been so long.

I hope Im still able to see Echo with just Hawkeye fresh in my mind, itll take way too long to get through all the Daredevil content otherwise. Really hope I dont somehow get spoiled for S3 of Daredevil in Echo for some reason.

I bet all the people who were pre-hating the Echo show (because reasons) are probably gonna want to like it now

Guilty.

Saw no point in an Echo show.

Then came the Kingpin and DD teases.

I mean, yeah, if it's actually gonna be a Daredevil Kingpin show, sign me up. Echo herself is still uninteresting as a lead.
