That scene in the One Piece anime recently (Massive Spoilers!!)

The scene of Lulusia being destroyed, with flashes and distortions of Imu and its red eye. God damn .

What a way to establish the upcoming conflicts. Good gravy. The music, animation, design and direction were all so damn good for that scene.

I chose a good time to get fully into One Piece. Mostly been reading the manga, but when certain stuff hits the anime I have to see it.

my brother has been pestering me to get into One Piece for years. I keep meaning to get into it for his sake, but is there ever *actually* a good time to get into it when it's like, 1000 fucking volumes? >_>

What I did was pick up the manga. It's a lot quicker that way, though you should really look up certain moments to watch in the anime when things get truly crazy.

The pacing of the anime is sluggish and frustrating for sure, but the animation is second to none when things pop off.
