Ye is my favorite living artist. However I don't rock with him anymore for some of his actions. And at the same time I can't hate him. Since he is mentally ill. But I can't support his work anymore due to his horrible actions and hopes that he gets the help that he needs.

I cant really separate the art from the artist, aside from a few unique cases like with Lovecraft. Once I learn someone is a scumbag I have issues with consuming media theyre in. Latest example is Dissection, I liked the sound of the music but I cant enjoy it anymore after learning about this piece of shit bigot, glad he killed himself. Goes for black metal in general, good sounding music but often trash humans that destroy their genre.

He makes some great video essays most of the time but his negative habits in his personal life bleed in to his work. If he's responding to another YouTuber expect him to attack with the worst vitriol and bile imaginable and he will always assume the worst about the person he is critiquing. But that's not even the worst of his problems. He's been banned on Twitter multiple times for being anti-Israel to the point where some of his takes could be posted on Stormfront. As a video essayist he's one of the best but ad person dude embodies every negative stereotype about Breadtube and online leftists.

I don't know if I necessarily "hate" any of them, becasue I don't know them personally, but there are a few that I would have a tough time supporting a new project they release.

But I can't retroactively all of a sudden think a song/movie/TV show is all of a sudden not good becasue a person involved with it isn't a good person.

Like, no matter what he did, The Cosby Show is still one of the funniest family-oriented sitcoms in TV history. Nothing will change that.
It takes zero effort to be a good person.
