As I recall, the bet was originally made by someone who did end up welching, only for Cat Food Eater to pop up and make their own bet, and went through with it when they lost. Absolute legend.

That's correct. Like I said, I placed the bet on Metroid Prime winning its round of the best game ever bracket; it didn't, which is the real travesty here imo
