Why is Trump bothering with reelection?

What happened between 2020 and now where Trump can run and the election is not rigged? Why is Trump even running if the election was rigged while he was president. Wont it be worse now that Biden is president?

for the record I dont believe the election was rigged, but he and his supporters claim they do. Since they think it is rigged, why will this time be better?

Isnt it obvious?

He has set it up so if he wins its the greatest victory in the history of planet earth against the corrupt swamp. When he loses he will just try to take over claiming it was rigged by the corrupt swamp. No matter what happens, he wins in his mind. He will never accept defeat. Never surrender. He will try to destroy the entire country before giving in. It also is starting to appear that he has the backing of Russian intelligence to help facilitate his rise to power

The funny thing is that if Trump had actually won the election in 2020, the 22nd Amendment would make him ineligible for this one.

This right here. He's so obviously guilty of so many crimes that have waaaaaaaaaay more evidence to support their validity than any of his horseshit allegations ever have.

Trump knows that re-election > dictatorship is likely the only way he avoids prison time. There's just too much evidence against him.

I presume if he wins, he's immune to all crimes and can pardon himself.
Load me into the matrix and dont pull the plug
But how would Trump or his supports even spin this question?

It's a get rich quick scheme. Always has been, I doubt he ever expected to win the first election years ago.

In Trump's case, he knows it wasn't rigged but he refuses to take responsibility for any of his own mistakes or failures and he lies to try to make himself look better all the time.

For his supporters that believe his lies, I don't know how they would answer. I wonder how many won't bother voting because they think it's rigged anyway.

If that happens, Biden needs to give the D.C. National Guard a full greenlight.

Back in the day, heck even as recently as 10-15 years ago, it was a given that obviously you couldn't do something like that. The system would have checks and balances to stop such a thing at step one.

But given how fucking low the bar has been set nowadays, yeah, laws need to be revised and made absolutely airtight. You know, laws like "a judge found to be accepting bribes doesn't get to be a judge anymore ."

Yeah, his ego couldn't take stepping aside and letting someone else lead the GOP. He will never let this go.

If Trump had won in 2020 we wouldn't HAVE a 22nd Amendment to keep him from running a third time this year.
