One suit that Trump filed in 2007 charged Morrison Cohen with legal malpractice.
These lawyers are likely requiring payment upfront. I know if I was their law firm I'd certainly make it a requirement before taking on his case.Habba and Madaio are the firm, though. They might have a couple low paid interns actually typing the documents but this "firm" is run by two idiots.

Can't wait for Musk to weaponize Twitter against Biden this October.Like he'll wait until October.
illiquidILSNAAAAAAKE
Musk's assets are also illiquid. He could likely pay Trump's legal woes, but that would leave him with the chance to lose control of businesses he does own (since he would likely have to sell shares in order to do so).Musk owns ~13% of Tesla, or enough (at current market prices) to pay for Trump's fines about 150 times over.
https://Twitter.com/hugolowell/status/1765172075948343645?s=46I was wondering not long ago I think in this topic about why Elon doesn't throw his hat in the ring and get partial ownership of a former president and current presidential candidate.

He could easily get a secured loan for a billion dollars to bail Trump out, I just don't know why he would.
He's been stiffing lawyers for more than a decade, at a minimum. Yet here we are, with guys like Rudy claiming they weren't paid. And we were talking about post White House concerning the cases we are discussing in these topics.
Edit: Copy and pasted the wrong text.
The Republican National Committee (RNC) failed to earn enough support from states to bring a resolution to ban paying former President Trumps legal bills to a vote.
Henry Barbour, who serves as Mississippis national committeeman, confirmed to several news outlets that the resolutions he drafted that would have prohibited the committee from covering the former presidents growing legal bills is dead.

I hope he bleeds them dry.
He will.

And keep them from effectively raising money too. Double whammy.

Does this mean individual state RNCs were in favor of paying Trump's bills? I don't know much about how the national RNC conducted this vote

A former President and current Presidential candidate asking a billionaire to cover his legal fees is some of the most blatantly corrupt shit I've seen in my lifetime.
How the fuck are we just letting this happen?

BTW, the trump debt counter also features a countdown of his various trials:So they have it so you can watch the interest accrue in real time? That's hilarious because it hammers in that the dipshit's gofundme isn't coming close to making enough to cover the interest.

It actually stalled in donations, and never really kept up with the amount needed to even negate the daily interest:

Arizona wasted way too much time. Unless they're trying to have this done by 2026Yeah, I think Arizona and Michigan were the ones that were trying to wait on the DoJ to do stuff, but finally started their own investigations. So they're super late.
I swear to God...If god gave us Trump and Musk, not sure any amount of swearing to God will change that.
