Wasn't the whole point of that line was she felt sheltered and safe under the Midgar Plates? Even though it symbolised the slums and elitism, it still gave her a semblance of comfort from the chaos the future will bring.

Yeah even if they're trying to emphasize that given the events of Remake the future has changed and is uncertain (thus the changed sky), it still works to use the "steel sky" metaphor with it being something constant and familiar.

Yeah it's kinda weird.

At the same time it looks like it's kinda lining up with Zack remembering Aerith saying the sky frightens her.

Still, a weird decision to change a sentence years after the fact.

I guess it was changed to be a more foreboding/foreshadowing line. This same line was featured in a Rebirth trailer so I wonder if there's like some recap or flashback to her saying that line at that point and they wanted to change Remake to match up with it?

Is that why there was an update to Remake? I've been playing the Yuffie part and when I turned it on yesterday it had updated while in rest mode.

Going by the twitter comments, they also updated Tifa's outfit in flashbacks to match her outfit in Rebirth.

And while I do like the original line better, apparently this one is closer to its original Japanese meaning. I guess this line is of moderate importance in Rebirth for them to bother changing it? They even recorded it.

I wish they used the patch to add dynamic difficulty to the game instead of changing lines.
