Did you see they repeated the exact same mistake with DToast that they made 3 years ago with the Community manager for MGE Wikia and then just yesterday DToast is in the feedback thread suggesting other users to abuse him more.
Fucking company trying to act concerned about Trust and Safety in the community when they can't even be bothered to put forward the bare minimum safety for their own employees.
I'm astounded that DToast isn't furious about it.
banning images of people and even stuff like bathing suits is patriarchal theocracy parading as feminism.This.
it's about power and control.
if you just want to talk about video games in a G-rated setting, go to the Nintendo forums or something. there is already plenty of space for that.
gamefaqs was unique, and we liked it b/c of what it was.
this shit, as it is now, is fucking embarrassing .
I was neutral on fandom before, but now?
Luckily, they didn't count on us being smarter than them.
banning images of people and even stuff like bathing suits is patriarchal theocracy parading as feminism. It should be fine to have reasonable conversations about a character or person's outfit so long as it's not objectifying, sexualizing, or disruptive.

Should being the operative word. However we can not read minds, and one overstep means we can't come back here. The result is you get nothing but the most banal conversations possible. And it's not like the admins are aligning with the mods at all.
And it's not like the admins are aligning with the mods at all.the mods aren't even aligning with the mods

That post also made me appreciate her personality even more.
I'm just appreciating the background color of this image. In fact, I'm so hyper focused on the background, I don't even know if there's a character here at all.
Please dispute that.I'm reading this more as "Please help us sweep this under the rug"

I said what I said and there was no other meaningUntil tomorrow, when your bosses tell you to swap tracks.
Then you should remove the tinfoil hat. I said what I said and there was no other meaning aside from it was an incorrect moderation.Well your other moderator destroyed all sense of trust. So direct your blame towards them. Also, please don't imply that I am crazy as that is considered flaming.

Oh goodie. Now we got the ones who want to alienate people who are straight up agreeing with them.Jeik isn't even the one who got the bad moderation. It's not really worth arguing about his statements.
Jeik isn't even the one who got the bad moderation. It's not really worth arguing about his statements.Youre not wrong and I know that mods are very busy from all this, so that particular one most likely didn't see my response, but it's worth putting up again as it immediately became an issue. It was at best incredibly naive to think otherwise
So what happens if people post screenshots of Stellar Blade or any other game like that? Will they get banned just for that?Yep
Yep
Then you should remove the tinfoil hat. I said what I said and there was no other meaning aside from it was an incorrect moderation.Honestly Citrik you should just be taking this issue up with the admins directly. We all wish you the best.
I'm sorry, but what are we?P4wn4g3 posted...
Guineea pigs to find out what kind of moderation may be legit or not?
Or are we some crashtest dummies running straight against an invisible wall of rules? Maybe we pass, maybe we get purged? Who knows? Seems like neither we nor the mods know.
And that's the issue.
If the site is in the shitter, as seems to be the case, it doesn't matter the amount of navel gazing the mods do on a particular rule. You guys will be ignored until you're dropped.DrizztLink posted...
I'd take a platitude with at least a little bit of something concrete over the outright empty platitudes we're getting instead.
You're assuming we think it would accomplish anything even if we tried.
Remember last time we were asked for our feedback?
Because we sure do.
Honestly Citrik you should just be taking this issue up with the admins directly. We all wish you the best.Agreed all this. https://imgur.com/QSQ84XP
YepI assume even reddit allows screenshots from players. I will look at them there after the game releases ^_^
If people want to attack me, or imply I mean anything other than what I say, that's fine. I have said my piece to the powers that be and there's nothing more that I can do aside from work towards what I stated earlier.
I don't think anybody is trying to attack you.
So what happens if people post screenshots of Stellar Blade or any other game like that? Will they get banned just for that?
That is the impression I'm getting since they refuse to clarify what the rules actually are. This place is quickly turning into ResetEra Lite.
I think what's worse is that you probably can post screenshots from the game but you can't say anything about it.
If it's just a screenshot with no comment it's within the context of it being a video game but then if you comment on a character deliberately designed to be attractive now it's suddenly hornyposting.
That's at least what I get from that Balthier topic, like everyone posts pictures of him with scantily clad Fran in the background with no issues, but me calling Balthier (not even Fran!) hot got me a moderation.
\_()_/
That's fair, I'm not trying to come across as a victim. I'm frustrated as well and I understand the users' frustration. Just trying to help where I can. No sense in someone having a moderation on their history that doesn't belong, regardless of the circumstances. As mods, you have the ability to nullify bad moderations if the user disputes it by having the majority of mods vote to overturn it. Use this ability to nullify bad rules by always voting to overturn it.

And then what? What do you think comes after that?A proper discussion.
Did they update the site rules or something. What'd I miss?
What'd I miss?this
No, they didn't. That's the problem. There is no indication anywhere that hornyposting is against the rules (and I have asked multiple times for a citation of such a rule), but for some reason some mods are on a rampage deleting anything vaguely suggestive.
