Not sure what people were expecting from a Zack Snyder space opera but its pretty much exactly what we got and I enjoyed it in a similar manner as 300.

Part 1 was basically mass effect 2 the movie.

The MC recruits a bunch of protagonists to their cause and then suddenly ends without warning.
It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

I don't remember hating the 1st all that much, but the 2nd is legit boring for the first 45 minutes. There's like 12 slow motion scenes of them harvesting wheat.

I watched the first one, I might as well finish the story. I went into it knowing it was going to be a two part movie so I was expecting it to end at some point without the full resolution.

There was just so many scenes where shit didnt look impactful. Heavy "stormtroopers can't aim for shit" syndrome too. Oh, and near the end the MC comes out of an elevator into a narrow hallway against 10 or so bad guys. She just walks forward shooting and none of them think to shoot back lmao

Havent watched a Zach Snyder movie since Batman vs Superman. Cant imagine ever willingly subjecting myself to his films again.

I said it in my previous post but

Big fight scene. Farmer villagers with the 5-6 heroes from the first movie vs trained military with a lot of numbers. But the trained military happens to be fucking shit at aiming. I love a good 300, underdog type story. But this shit wasn't it lol

Oh, and they spend a scene with each hero talking about their backstory but tbh the two movies didn't really compel me to give two shits lol

Yeah, admittedly I was hungover when watching it, but it just felt like... nothing. There was so much silly shit in it. And then Snyder's stupid ass slow mo. How do you make harvesting wheat look more boring? Do it slooooowly!

Just watched it. I dunno, I felt the same way about part 2 that I felt about part 1. I expected 300 meets Star Wars and I got 300 meets Star Wars. So yeah for what it was I enjoyed it just fine.

First half was a bit slow. Then we got the big fight scene that lasted the rest of the movie. Then an obvious sequel hook that may or may not pay off.

How do you manage to not even make me care about a "Farmers vs Evil Empire" type plot.
