I think my sneezes are a bit louder than average, but not super loud. My dad fits more of what I think is a forced loud sneeze. He mixes his sneezes with a shout. He also adds a bit at the end. His sneezes are like Ah Shoo BAAAA! The whole thing is loud, but his Ba at the end is always just him shouting.

Same with his yawns. It used to be the normal "awww" sound. Now it's *deep breath* "AHHHHH OH!" and it hurts my ears for how loud he does it. Frankly, it kinda pisses me off as he keeps doing it louder and louder every time. It's just a yawn dude, it's a deep breath, it doesn't have to blow the walls down.

It's mostly involuntary, or at least difficult to suppress. But no doubt some people are just attention whores.

Now as for the biology or physics behind why it happens at all, or why it affects some people more than others, I couldn't tell you.
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.

It's weird, when I was younger it wasn't something I did. My sneezes were naturally rather quiet, even made fun of a friend who got in trouble in elementary school cause his teacher thought he overexaggerated his sneeze on purpose.

Now I'm at this shitty stage where my natural sneeze is very loud and I have to mindfully sneeze differently in order to prevent that. Shit sucks.

what's the common amount of times people sneeze?

for me it used to be 3, now it's most often 4, sometimes 5
hell, on rare occasions i can go 4-5 times, wait half a minute, then go again 1-2 times

I've learned to tone it down. Pollen allergy sometimes has me sneezing endlessly and if I put a voice behind my sneezes it would absolutely wreck my throat.

It is definitely weird since I know a colleague who sneezes so quietly and daintily that she often gets teased for it by the other female servers. Thankfully its all in good fun and they arent trying to pick on her in case anyone was worried.

I'm not a loud sneezer, but I do tend to do it several times in a row. Sometimes I'll sneeze half a dozen times or more, and it makes people give me funny looks.

I will tell you point blank I scream sneeze (sometimes, depending how the sneeze forms,) no it is not pleasant, I dont do it on purpose, and speaking for myself, it is not something I can fix by doing it different as you suggest or some kind of bad habit that is without regard for people around me.

I can understand that some people cannoy suppress some vocal sound wheb they sneeze, but I'm actually convinced that most overly loud sneezers (or dad-sneezers as I call them) do so just be like "hey look everyone, I exist! Isn't that just awesome and hilarious lol"

I'll die on this hill.
One time, CE triggered me so hard with their objectively wrong opinions that I accidentally punched myself in the balls.
