Impmon turning into a discount even more edgy version of Guilmon out of pure jealousy would be something I can get behind.

Yeah. Impmon never really had a digimon line. He just mega digivolved into Beelzemon in the anime. I know in the games the route you go is usually Impmon > Wizardmon > Infermon > Beelzemon > Blast Mode. But now this is his own route. And a lot of Digimon have multiple mega forms, like Agumon and Tailmon.
