But they're very restrained when its people protesting for Trump or doing some nazi calls.

Perhaps public fasting will be less threatening.

I doubt it though because authorities have forcefed protestors in the past.

The focus on protesting is a media distraction from the genocide being protested.

I don't use Twitter anymore so the best part is that I don't know if it's trending because of Palestine protestors tired of being treated like how we should be treating Neo-Nazis, or blue check anti-Israel/"pro Palestine" Neo-Nazis who actually use Israel as an excuse to spread antisemitism

I'm going to guess it's a mix of both but there's more post visible from the latter because of course there is

I've been seeing way too much antisemitism/pro-hamas activity at these protests to not warrant police force but the amount is too much for sure.

Which one of those is a violation of free speech?

hint: its the police using force

Also, conflating anti-Zionism with antisemitism and pro-hamas with free/pro-Palestine is a bad look.

So would you say the Nazis here in this side by side comparison need a bit more police force used against them? Or do you only want it used against the college kids?

Earlier this week I was dismissed from jury selection for politely telling the prosecutor that I don't trust cops. It would have been much harder to stay polite if I was there now.

I guarantee you there has yet to be a protest without a genocidal chant calling for the destruction of Israel. I try telling myself that maybe they don't understand the implications of "globalizing" the intifada or what "from the river to the sea" truly means but enough know - especially the leaders of these encampments and protests.

And then of course there are the truly mask off individuals who stand next to people holding an Israeli flag with a sign that says "you're next".

Are you going to provide sources for your claim that every protest has a genocidal chant or are you just going to continue to bootlick and justify both police brutality against Americans peacefully protesting and the genocide of Palestinians? I mean, I know which one you're gonna go with but I thought I'd check.

you're acting like there a centralized database or record of specific chants. just look at news reports, social media coverage of protests, or statements from organizational leaders.

maybe attend a protest yourself instead of typing up a storm on gfaqs

btw I literally critiqued the police so this "bootlick" comment makes no sense.
I've said it before, but this country is no different than it was when the Kent State massacre happened.

And I'm worried we're going to see our generation's iteration of that soon if these protests continue.

LMAO that's what I thought.

"Typing up a storm" why do you chuds always resort to shit like this when people confront you with how shitty you're being? It's like you can't attack me for asking for sources for your claim so you go "Wahhh you typed a lot wahhh!" lmao
There is not another single person on this board who would deny "From the river to the sea" is a benchmark chant a Pro-Palestinian protests has been for literally decades to call for the ceasing of Israel's existence. So the only thought available is either 1) you haven't been to any protests 2) you haven't done your homework thus you will hyperfixate on certain words to get out of this.
Still not seeing any proof that there's genocidal chants at every protest, I'm fuckin' shocked.

Wild to make those kind of claims and then lose your spine when asked for proof.

Also really funny that you took issue with being called a bootlicker but didn't deny you're pro Palestinian genocide.
"From the river to the sea" is a regular chant, but I think reasonable people can disagree on whether it constitutes a call for genocide.

Well, no I clearly do not justify genocide. Like...what?

And no, there is no "disagreement" when it comes to that chant if it's preceded by "long live the intifada". There is no plausible deniability there. It's a call for violence.

There's been a billion thinkpieces, half of them posted here and debated into the ground, about whether or not "river to the sea" is genocidal, especially after Tlaib was censured for being at and participating in anti-genocide protests.

You cannot call this a settled, or even obvious, conclusion to draw.

especially considering the charters and long lasting statements made by Hamas

For whatever it's worth, the political, reform-minded, and more progressive (progressive compared to terrorism... I guess...) arm of hamas has gone on record saying that their charter is a historical artifact and no longer a policy position.

Now, believing that is a matter of being able to decide if you can separate hamas terrorists and hamas politicians into two separate categories.

But it has been a public policy statement from the political wing of hamas that they'd accept '67 borders, even if they wouldn't recognize Israel proper. The fact that the political wing of hamas would accept borders at all implies that Israel wouldn't be wiped off the map. (I don't hold out faith that the terrorist wing of hamas would accept that, but they're not in the habit of releasing official policy statements or press releases like you or I would expect.)

For argument's sake, let's say you're being honest. What antisemitic "activity" have you seen that warrants police force? If it's vile people saying vile things, I'll remind you that A) they're within their constitutional right to do so, and B) that same kind of rhetoric is rarely being met with police force when it's being spewed by other groups.
