I wanted 300 meets Star Wars, I got 300 meets Star Wars. Not sure what people were expecting. 300 did not have these deep and layered characters or plot, it was good guys vs. bad guys with cool action sequences and slow-mo bits.I'll go on record stating that 300 wasn't a very good movie either. 300 did have a way better story and setting. The best part of Rebel Moon was the big battle scene and it wasn't very good. 300 was basically that battle scene, but the whole movie. Rebel Moon was Dune meets Justice League.

Also Ed Skrein as Admiral Noble is probably my favorite villain portrayal since Joaquin Phoenix in The Gladiator.I'll have to give those movies a watch then. I like action and cool visuals.
