I wanted 300 meets Star Wars, I got 300 meets Star Wars. Not sure what people were expecting. 300 did not have these deep and layered characters or plot, it was good guys vs. bad guys with cool action sequences and slow-mo bits.

I'll go on record stating that 300 wasn't a very good movie either. 300 did have a way better story and setting. The best part of Rebel Moon was the big battle scene and it wasn't very good. 300 was basically that battle scene, but the whole movie. Rebel Moon was Dune meets Justice League.

After his handling of the DCEU I genuinely cannot bring myself to give a fuck about what Snyder directs.
He's all alone through the day and night.
Are the Rebel Moon movies good in a "shut off your brain and watch" kind of way?

It takes a special talent in sucking to take a movie with the concept of Batman and Superman fighting, and make it boring.

They're good in a shut off your brain and stick needles in your eyes to not notice all the stupidity in the try hard action scenes kinda way

It's a by the numbers story that you don't really need to pay full attention to. Basically you're just watching it for the cool visuals and action. The story is generic as fuck.

Even after I saw the Snyder cut of Justice League that his stans made such a big deal out of it, I just couldnt believe how it made the movie more shitty.

I don't remember the first 90% of that movie it was so boring.

Also Ed Skrein as Admiral Noble is probably my favorite villain portrayal since Joaquin Phoenix in The Gladiator.

Can't wait for the 4 hour R rated cut of both to have even more slow motion grain chopping.

Fuck his gratuitous and stupid use of slow motion.

I just watched it... after the "meh" feeling of the first I was really hoping this one had a better overall package.

*Narrator voice* It did not

Somehow it felt "meh" in almost the exact same way as the first..
I liked them both. Its cool. I get its not everyones cup of tea but I like the slo mo. I just say slo mo, thats Zack Snyders thing and he utilizes it well

basically his movies are easier digested as like cinematic graphic novels IMO.

This was a fucking terrible movie. Setting the plot aside it had some of the worst and most poorly delivered dialogue I have ever heard.

I was glad when that dumbass darmer died so I didnt have to listen to the actress trying ro cry.

Stories can be both generic and good. The plot just has to be good enough to keep me invested until the end.
