No but I quit my last job with no notice
I could see you, but I couldn't hear you You were holding your hat in the breeze Turning away from me In this moment you were stolen...
I've never walked out without saying anything, but I've definitely quit on the spot a few times.

When I was young 18-20 I walked out of a few factory jobs. Some even first day, first break lol.

McDonalds. Id just dropped out of uni and split with my girlfriend of three years. Pretty dark time for me. Worked at McDonalds for a bit and decided to go travelling. Manager asked if I were coming back said yeah but only if I were put on management path. He said sure.

Went travelling. Was great. Came home. Went to work. Asked when the management training would start and he denied all knowledge of it. Told him he wasnt trustworthy and left at the end of the first shift back.

TBH good job I left as well. Ended up working in IT and getting paid pretty well for it. Im pretty much lath of least resistance so chances are if Id have got the management training Id still be there 20 years on.

Never had cause to and if I did its against my ethics. I suppose it depends on the business but if youre quitting fucks over anyone who doesnt deserve to be fucked over youre a special kind of asshole. Where I work walking out wouldnt just stick it to a boss I might not like, Id be screwing over my whole team. How horrible do you have to be to do that?
Probably the only Mario Maker 2 level I'll ever create worth sharing.

Yeah I was hired to work in the bakery at Meijer and they gave me the worst possible explanation for the job then expected me to run the bakery myself the next day

I'm too chickenshit to make waves and burn bridges, even if it's probably the best recourse personally.
Anyone who doesn't agree is part of the problem.

Cookin like a chef, I'm a 5 Star Michelin
Kinda? I had to clear out a garage with my coworker that I lowkey hate, but on that day in particular he showed up drunk and was being a pissy bitch the entire time. We had a bit of a fight, I gave him an ultimatum to either shut up and we'll get this done together, for him to outright leave and I'll do the rest on my own, or if he says ANYTHING even vaguely snarky I just leave on my own.

He pitched a bit of a fit, picked 1, then 30 seconds later broke it so I walked out. Happened to run into the boss on the way back (right as I was in the middle of getting my phone out to call him lmao) and we had a talk, then he let me go for the rest of the day.
Look, I can name a few instances in MY life where I tried to reach mutual understanding
and i can TELL you, always faster and easier to just kill em. Just is!
I walked out in one that was paying me well over six figures a year at one point. Sometimes your own happiness just cant be bought.
I have been fired, I have given my 2 weeks, and now I am at the best of all the jobs I have ever held.

I definitely wanted to walk out on the second job at times. Worked like a flight attendant on a luxury bus. Breaking down on the side of the connecticut highway for hours with 28 rich snobs was never fun.
When I was 16, I think. It was at a Burger King. They were low on staff and desperate to hire people and I got hired on at a higher than usual pay rate. Well on my first day there, I was shown videos on how to prepare food for an hour or so, then afterward, I was put on register. With absolutely no training on what any of the buttons did. I would constantly ask for help from co-workers but they wouldn't. Pretty sure I messed up every single customer's orders because of it.

I went in the next day (because the money was too good and I thought it couldn't possibly be worse) and I wasn't even shown how to clock in. I tried myself, and asked for help but no one would and the store manager wasn't there, so I just fucking left. Worst job I ever had and it was for barely over 8 hours.
Without truth, there is nothing.
I've never walked out, but there were a couple of times I just never went back.
...I think I'm done here...
Yeah, almost every job I've ever had. My first 2 jobs u didn't walk out of, but was laid off and put in my notice.

Gas station job, had horrible and corrupt management. I had to work totally unreasonable hours and they refused to pay. We were supposed to get paid every other Friday. But the boss claimed it was the 1st and 15th of the month. But then when it came time to pay, he said the 1st or 15th had to land on a Friday in order to get paid. After a very long argument between him and the rest of the employees, he did eventually start paying. Of course we got cheated because he claimed we were being paid early so he charged a fee. I ended up being his one and only employee left at the end, and I requested 1 day off. He promised to cover, but then he changed his mind because he didn't want to cover. So I quit. Told him I wasn't coming back, then he agreed to let me have the day off but it was too late.

Next job was at an interstate rest area. My parents worked there and got me on. But then later it turned out my dad was sleeping with my boss, which caused mom to quit. My boss came to me and told me I had to choose between my job or my mom and if I stayed it meant I was on hers and dad's side. So I walked out. She eventually left the job and the new manager called for me to come back, and I did. But I ended up walking out again about 2 years later after more drama was stirred up and things were being done to drag me into it.

After that is my hotel job, which I walked out if twice and was asked to return twice. Currently in my 7th or 8th year there. Anyway, more corrupt management, somehow even more scummy and sleazy than my gas station boss. Would absolutely screw you over in order to look better himself or get a bonus. He tried that with me once, but I saw it coming and talked with a coworker, they offered to switch shifts with me. I explained that if I was right, that things would be pinned in them instead of me. They agreed anyway. I was right, things got pinned in them, and they walked out. With me right behind.

Later the entire management team, and all but 1 employee was fired. They were desperate for workers and I was asked to return. I reluctantly did, and the new management team was absolutely wonderful. By far the best people I've ever worked with. It was great. But then Covid hit, and tanked our numbers. The owner of the hotel looked at the old fudged numbers from before Covid, and the new numbers from after, and decided he liked the old numbers better. Fired the new team and brought in the old manager. He immediately began cutting corners, cheating people, and fudging the numbers again. Then of course, lockdown ended and people started travelling again so the numbers only increased... It stuck around for a bit but ultimately walked out due to abusive behavior from the new staff.

About 9 months later they called and asked me to return. I told them I didn't want to, but I was promised to only be worked 2 days a week(being overworked was part of why I quit). That I would be treated better and such. It's been about a year and a half since I went back, and it's the same as before. They do tend to keep me on 2 days a week, but I'm the first to be called to cover other people's vacations. Which tends to put me on 14-21 days in a row with no days off on all 3 different shifts. That happens about every other month. Not sure how much longer I'll last if it keeps up.

Koga do you live in a small town?
I accidentally did at Chipotle because the manager didn't believe me when I put my two weeks in and seemed genuinely confused when I handed my hat back. Right after he asked if I would be on call for the following week as well

Yes, once. Also walked out of a shift (but came back to the job as a whole) once at my current job.
I fought the Trumble and the Trumble won.
