this could have just been its own show. It doesn't look bad. I just don't see any reason to call it The Wonder Years. It's not like TWY had a huge following in the first place.

^ I've only seen the first season of the reboot, and it had at least one connection with the original - the kid's brother was a soldier during the Vietnam war, and was in the same troop as Winnie's brother .

I'll be honest - I hated the show ever since the first episode aired. It was obvious boomer bait that inspired my then middle-aged English teacher to assign us to write a paper about the episode. She spent the entire class gushing about how it reminded her of her hippy years. The episode also immediately soured me to the Percy Sledge song "When A Man Loves A Woman."
