Best way to describe it, it's a movie that exists. I'm glad it's not a nostalgia wank like the first one, but the biggest problem with this movie is that there was too many unnecessary characters that clogged up the movie.

Its extremely mediocre. It kinda just tells a story that has very little to do with the stories that were told before it.

And from what I read, get used to it.

They want to just keep pumping out these standalone GB stories for as long as theyre profitable.
It takes zero effort to be a good person.

it was better than I thought it would be. But it's hampered by it's annoying main protagonist and it's poor writing.

I could not disagree more with the general consensus here. I personally loved it, its my second favorite in the series after the last one, Afterlife.

Felt like the first movie in the series to actually try expanding the lore and do some great worldbuilding. Returning cast was great, huge fan of Paul Rudd and hes even more likable in this one. I also enjoyed the new characters like the ghost girl, props to them for trying something different, I think it landed well.

Obviously its not some super deep artistically genius masterpiece but its a damn fun movie, dont know what else people expected

Did you like the one before it with the new characters? It not as good as that one, but if you liked the new family, it's definitely worth watching. I liked the boss monster the best in Frozen Empire out of all the films.

It has some cool moments and ideas but it is really just not a good movie.
