Not the best, but I had fun with it back in the day. Mega Evolution was their best temporary gimmick too.

One of my least favorite in the franchise.

You can barely go five minutes without that annoying ass troop of loser friends interrupting the game.
He's all alone through the day and night.

X/Y is a solid mid-tier Pokemon game IMO. It clearly has a lot of missed potential that was supposed to be fully realized in a cancelled Z version, but even so, it's still a pretty fun experience overall.

I 100% agree with this statement
Plus it just wasn't challenging , felt like it was made for little kids so they couldn't lose.
Didn't all the gym leaders have 3 pokemon?

*and FYI I absolutely love pokemon since red in 98

Had more fun with it the second time around when my expectations had been tempered. Its fine but not the greatness many were expecting.
