When I was in the Navy every deployment we went on there was a helicopter crash in our group. Every few months in the Navy Times you would read about a helicopter crash. Ive seen too many stories in the civilian world involving helicopter crashes.
Its most often human error or weather related than actual mechanical failure but I just dont trust them. Its the one piece of machinery I just refuse to be in. The only way Im riding in one is if Im being air lifted from a wreck in a life saving situation to the hospital.
