San Francisco. Saw all of the animals except the lions, gorillas, and anteaters. Well, I saw the back of the lion but it was like a pokemon in snap that has its back turned until you unlock the pokeflute

I dont really find them depressing, they serve a very real purpose both for education and to rehabilitate animals that would otherwise just die.

I think sometimes people confuse zoos with the circus. Zoos are actually really really good. Circuses need to be totally eliminated.

A lot of zoos have either rescue animals or animals that have been fully supported by humans their entire lives

Their lives are not as they would be in the wild, but a good zoo takes good care of its animals

their lives not being as good as in the wild is definitely up for debate. They inevitably live longer in a zoo. We put human emotions onto animals that they dont have.

There's still plenty of zoo's in the world that are pretty awful and they tend to taint peoples views of zoos on the whole, same with aquariums.
The commercial says that Church isn't for perfect people, I guess that's why I'm an atheist.

I took my nieces to the Cincinnati Zoo in October 2022 and while they enjoyed it, I felt depressed seeing so many of the animals being by themselves in small enclosures. No playmates or much space to run around.
Without truth, there is nothing.

Their enclosures are small. They arent happy. They hide away. Its hard to see, and if you do see them its depressing.

The Giraffe pen is huge, its full of angry llamas which keep the Giraffes company and make for fun interactions with guests, and the giraffes genuinely seem like they enjoy being there.
