Don't @ me.
Starfield is a 7/10. Get over it.
No

But I do have to say, people have forgotten all about that incredible opening scene with Anything Goes in Shanghai, the diamond, the poisoning, etc.

It wasn't enough to save the movie but it's really one of the coolest scenes in the series.
There's a difference between canon and not-stupid.
its a great movie but no shot
My fate was the grandest, most brilliant of them all.
He/Him
It's my favorite of the franchise.
By Grabthar's Hammer....what a savings.
Id rather watch rewatch doom than ark tbh
It's a solid movie. Never understood why some people act like it's a lesser Indy movie.
Ever notice how the 5 Indy movies are very similar to the 5 Die Hard movies quality-wise?

In both series:
The first movies are iconic
The second are considered less than the originals but still good
The third have a jump back to the quality of the first ones
The fourth movies are very divisive, full of a lot of ridiculousness
And most people agree neither should've had a 5th movie.
Every day I wake up and promise I will be nice to everyone, then I deal with people at work and remember why that will never happen.

It's easily the worst out of the trilogy

Even if that were true that really doesn't mean much at all since the trilogy overall is very solid in quality.

Die Hard 4 is lightyears better as a movie than Indy 4.

But yes, both 5th movies in these franchises are atrocious.
temple of doom sucked

short round and spielbergs wife were annoying

just another freak in the freak kingdom
Rewatched the first three about a year ago. Temple is honestly just straight up embarrassing.
Cookin like a chef, I'm a 5 Star Michelin
Eh, Short Round is fine. The wife? Yeah, I can see how people get annoyed by her, but she's not enough to ruin the movie or anything.
Its my favourite. Honestly, I feel like Crusade kind of makes Raiders redundant.

I wonder how many Temple fans just haven't seen it in a long time. I loved it some 25 years ago but on a rewatch about 10 years ago not so much.

I watched all of them with my girlfriend this year, as she hadnt seen or heard of any of them before.

She liked Raiders, loved Temple and Crusade, hated Skull and didnt mind Dial.
Fun fact; Pat Roach played the burly Nazi who got minced by the propeller in Raiders of the Lost Ark, and the Head Guard who was pulverized by the rock crusher in Temple of Doom!
If you're not smart enough to survive, you are basically just food for something smarter.
Havent even read the topic yet

Temple of Doom fans be like:

Go on. You weirdo! Lol. I wish this were in person. We'd all be Kali-Ma'ing together right now, in unison. Never seen anything like it. We all do it lol . It's the thought that tends to come to mind

Kali-Ma!

Kali-Ma!!!!!!
doom's last 30 minutes or so are amazing BUT you had to slog through an hour and 30 minutes of meh-ness and an annoying sidekick and an EXTRA annoying heroine.

also Skull gets WAY too much hate. yeah Shia sucks and most of the action sequences involving him are bad but everything else is pretty great. and don't start me on the complaining about aliens. god melting nazi faces and men getting their hearts ripped out of their bodies is cool but not aliens? GTFO.

Temple of Doom is fine, but not the best.

3 > 1 > 2 >>>> 4

Have not even seen 5, so no idea.

The scenes / the character of Cate Blanchett is also terrible.

So, the decent parts are only the Indy and Marion scenes.

Temple of doom as a similar problem, but not that extreme.
Planning is the process of replacing chance with error.
I thought Blanchett was fine

"Every last inch of me's covered in hair!"
its not imo but it is a respectable opinion. Its definitely the most action packed and has some the highest highs of the franchise.

Raiders > TLC > ToD > DoD > KotCS

i love them all tho <3
im gay
hyped as hell for the game thats supposed to come out this year. Indy fuckin rocks

Temple is great. Calling it the worst of the OG trilogy seems harsh, even if i love the other two more, because all three movies are terrific.

What floors me is some people out there who say Skull was better than Temple.

Also Dial isn't perfect, but its a fun ride and i enjoyed it much more than the previous movie.
'We're not gonna make it, are we? People i mean.'
'It's in your nature to destroy yourselves.'
I originally didn't like Temple of Doom but it improves on each rewatch. I think I might prefer it to Last Crusade now, it'll never surpass Raiders though.

Literally just rewatched it a week ago along with the other two movies, and it's fine. You assume too much.
It's my favorite. Willie and Short Round never bothered me. I like Willie because she's different than Marion and is almost the complete opposite of her. Besides, we'd all be like her screaming at every thing if we were put in a situation like that.

Same. I understand liking the other 2 originals over TOD, but putting Crystal Skull above it is nuts.

No, I wonder about something that I have now gained two data points on.

Big difference between that and assuming.

Temples only issue is that its sandwiched between two absolute classics. If it were the only movie it would be seen in the same light. Its still an amazing flick.
Buffalo Bills
Crystal Skull > Temple of Doom

Yeah, I said it, deal with it
I dont like Temple all that much but the opening set piece is one of the best in the series.
Why be stupid? Does it make you happy to be stupid?
I always liked Temple of Doom and think it holds up except for maybe the dinner scene.

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was horrible. The giant ants and monkey scenes made no sense. I may finish Dial of Destiny one day but couldn't get past the CGI young Indy.
This is where cool people write stuff.
Fate of Atlantis is one I would have liked to have seen gotten the movie treatment.
Temple isn't bad, but not as good as Crusade or Raiders. The best is where Indy is basically saying - yeah, I'm about to be a one-man army on these cultists.

Crystal Skull is painful. Almost halfway through Dial of Destiny (I just don't have it in me to sit for a 2.5 hour movie these days).
