Defeated Italian boxer apologises to Khelif

It wasn't 'horrendous'. It was pretty much what you would expect.

You have to understand that these people train for 4 years, and then a few seconds after their dream dies, some journalist puts a microphone in their face and starts firing questions.

While we sit on our arses and pass judgement as to whether they have shown sufficient grace in the moment. Hell, if they apologize at length later, we may even deign to grudgingly accept it.

This isn't the only instance of it happening in these Olympics. I've seen athletes in tears after some dick with a microphone demands to know 'why performances haven't been good enough', or can you describe your disappointment'. They need to back off.

Came here to say this, with perhaps less eloquence.
