I liked Prometheus, but it does feel very detached from the rest of the franchise. It's a better film than Alien 3 and Resurrection, but at least those two still feel like they fit what Alien is all about.
Covenant is easily the worst of the franchise in my opinion.
I think if TC plans on seeing Romulus, then they should go back and watch both Alien 3 and Resurrection. Romulus makes Resurrection more worth the watch in my opinion. And you kinda need to see Alien 3 to set up Resurrection.
I wont have time to watch that many movies between now and then
And i really doubt alien romulus needs me to watch a critically panned movie from the 90s

Prometheus would have been decent as a standalone non-Alien franchise movie. It'd still suffer from some of the dumbest characters in a movie ever but it wouldn't have been as terrible as it was. The only thing Covenant did was make the stupid characters in Prometheus look like fucking geniuses.
3 and Resurrection are both bad too, but are also both much better than Prometheus and Covenant by wide margins.
Also, yes, Romulus is also far and away the 3rd best of the series.
Ah man if theyre even dumber in covenant, this might be rough

First AvP was pretty cool, second was an awkward train wreck though
I have no desire to watch alien vs predator

It had amazing sets.
That's about where my praise ends >_>
No issues with the visuals here. Movie looks better than 2024 blockbusters like deadpool vs wolverine and furiosa

The original Alien is one the greatest movies ever made (my personal favorite). I like Prometheus quite a bit, I thought it was a really good horror sci-fi movie with some really interesting concepts. I think it gets unfairly criticized because some of the characters act kind of dumb at times (there are some cut scenes that help with that some). Most horror movies have characters doing dumb things. Most people I know seem to like it quite a bit, but hardcore Alien fans like to pick it apart.
Youre not wrong, horror genre does require people to act dumber than other genres. Also Ive never been to space before, who am I to negatively judge the people here
