"You should blame the people doing horrible evil things proudly for years on end."

"people who aren't voting for us when they're working two jobs to make rent are horrible evil people" has not been a winning strategy so far but you're welcome to continue trying it.

"Improving" the dems is not excusing the Republicans. The second you forget this you're just empowering the far-right. The blame is 100% on Trump and his supporters. 0% on the people who opposed him.

"They didn't oppose him well enough so it's not the Nazis fault" is insane.

Please point to where I am defending people who actively vote for republicans as opposed to asking Dems to do more to -get more people to vote-. We -know- 40% of the existing voter block goes R every time no questions asked.

The strategy, bafflingly, is trying to convince them to vote for "hey we're basically republicans but less crazy" as opposed to offering an alternative. Actually letting the unmotivated population who aren't showing up at all know you are an alternative worth turning out for.

Or I guess we can keep wondering why the guy who doesn't even know Biden isn't running anymore didn't turn up for us when we needed them. Why the people who got subjected to a 24/7 media blitz of "Trump! [is bad]" don't know what our platform even is. That worked super good in 2016 and now 2024.

If there's any consolation it's that the policies the right are pushing are very likely to crash the economy immediately, and it's demonstrated that that gets people to vote against the people in whatever administration is currently in power. We very obviously can't rely on that happening every time there's an election but *god forbid* we change our approach at all because the party is never wrong.
Why not go all in?
