You don't need protein shakes unless you're trying to bulk up to like 220 pounds of muscle or something. Even Leanbeefpatty doesn't do protein shakes much, it's just she took like 3 years to get where she is now. It's confusing people thinking she's on gear when she's 5 foot 3 and you can see how long it's taken for her to get those arms and legs.
