Diaz from Arrow is one of the most egregious examples I've personally seen. He's just a basic street thug, but he's the big bad of a season and a half.

He corrupts the whole police department. All of it. They're basically his gang.

They introduce this never-before-seen international crime syndicate just so he can take it over in the next episode cuz he's like so badass

He can match Green Arrow in a fistfight

He survives being Canary Cry launched off a building

Probably the main villain in Eiyudean Chronicles. I was already dealing with the loading, I'd walk in a damn house and it had to load in and out. But this guy was like HAHHAA I saw your idea before and planned for it again so you wasted your time, again.

I thought this game was supposed to make me like Suikoden 1 and 2.
