Show is the easily some of the best Star Wars content of all time, and I'm not exaggerating.

It's legitimately almost too good for Star Wars honestly lol

I'm a "near-O.G. fan" (first saw ESB in the theater when I was 3) and this shit is AMAZING.

No, it's not good. It is excellent.

But its not your average star wars thing. Its methodically paced and there's almost entire swaths of episodes with not a single fight scene. Take your time with it

Are you fucking kidding? People can't stop gushing about it. Watch it!

Also, episode 10. Wow. That is 3 episodes in a row that I would give a 10.

I will watch the final two tomorrow

That last scene from the first episode actually got a tear out of me...

Finished the first episode and am watching the second one tonight. I felt it was a really strong episode and having the focus on fewer characters was a huge benefit.

I like that they were able to a side story episode that was actually amazing. Usually when the focus shifts for an entire episode in other shows, it just seems off. And nice for Kleya to get some love.

God DAMN.

Kleya. What a character.

Also holy shit Dedra Meero is the reason the Rebellion learned of the Death Star.

Seriously though. I don't know who else needs to hear it, but this series is an all-timer.

And yes, it's hardly a spoiler but, you're meant to watch Rogue One literally right after this.

I'll be doing that tomorrow.

setting aside nostalgia it's probably the best star wars ever

it's apples to oranges really since the OT is campy B-movie stuff and this is Star Wars as prestige TV but this series is set up as basically 8 films spread across 24 episodes of TV

I swear my heart stopped when Dedra saw the bloody knife in Luthien's hand.

I would like to imagine that Dedra ended up occupying the same cell in the same prison Cassian was in.
If you need the threat of eternal damnation to be a good person, you're just a bad person on a leash.
Genuinely outstanding. Part of me is preemptively annoyed that being a Star Wars show is gonna undercut its potential award success because this is so very easily the best show of 2025. And that's not even a slight against other shows, it's just a testament to how incredible this was.

Ep 12, Rogue One, and ANH about to be the new trilogy.

The Rogue One rewatch is already mind-blowing so far as Luna promised.

I'm sure the answer is no, but I would love it if Kallus was in it somehow.

I'm waiting for my son to get home from college, and then we'll watch season 2. I might need to re-watch season 1 first. Daughter and I re-watched Rogue One last weekend. We loved finding The Ghost and Chopper cameos now that I've seen Rebels .

My only complaint is that we didn't get at least a Andor/K2 arc. That being said they could still do an Andor/K2 movie because of the time jump. Just a thought that I hope becomes a reality.

Otherwise it's an incredible show that's easily in my top 5 Star Wars films/shows ever.

My new head canon is that everyone who survived is around for A New Hope, but die on the way to Hoth in the Ison corridor or something.

I like to think that they survived, but their time of heroism was over, so there's not much else to say. Not everybody is always central to important things. Sometimes you do something really important, but it's a data point, not a trajectory. Like a WW2 vet who got medals for unbelievable feats and then went on to quietly work middle management at a chain of car dealerships. One of the themes of Andor (in context) is the nihilism that heroes are eventually forgotten, if they were ever even noticed.
Good stuff. I will also be rewatching Rogue One after this, which is obviously what they intended for you to do.

They could just be off on other missions. I dont think the entire fleet was always together in one place. That would be bad strategy.

Rebels establishes that there are lots of cells operating, and not always with the same agenda. I know they coalesced into the Rebel Alliance, but Im sure there were still numerous sleeper cells that needed to be monitored/recruited/supported etc.

A New Hope takes place over a few days, maybe no more than a few hours after Rogue One ends. Still plenty of time to die on those random missions before the Death Star plans arrive.

Yeah that was a big message of the ending to Andor. The rebellion is everywhere.

The only thing that was weird to me was that we never saw the declaration of rebellion or that oh shit moment when the entire council realizes a super weapon. Dodonna strangely absent.

The council can't find out about the Death Star until after Rogue one. Remember even in that film teh Empire declared a minning disaster destroyed the city they tested it on.

Fun fact: according to Declassified , Ben decided on the spur of the moment to poke Denise on the top of the head and put some weight on her. Her look of surprise and discomfort is genuine.

Well, after a far-too-long struggle (which involved my Xbox One seemingly dying halfway through E11 and forcing me to download D+ on my PS4), I'm at the end.

Holy. Flurking. Shisno.

I don't even drink, and I feel like I need a drink. Lonni - dead. Partagaz - dead. Heert - dead. Luthen - dead. Dedra - disgraced and imprisoned. Saw - nuts.

Just utterly brilliant work up one side and down the other. And leaving a lot of characters (Vel, Wilmon, Dreena, Dedra, Bix) with stories that can still be told. It's more due to Denise Gough's performance than the character, but I felt a little sad for Nazi Barbie there at the end. At least she has a chance to get out in like, 6 or 7 years, unless the New Republic decides to put her on trial for the Ghorman Massacre.

I'm not even sure what she regrets or keeps having breakdowns over. Playing Syril to death? Going rogue? Surely not Ghorman itself.

I think she maybe did feel bad about Syril in episode 8. At the end though, she was simply feeling sorry for herself. I mean, life in prison most likely.

Dedra was a true believer in the Empire.

In the end, her efforts to safeguard it only made herself look like its enemy. She lost the one man she ever loved and she found herself on the receiving end of what she so frequently weaponized herself

She did show a little resistance towards the end of Ghorman, nothing near a redemption or rebuke of the Imperial tactics, but she was hesitating with Partagaz and was not happy when it was obvious the Empire was going to false flag into the Ghorman massacre. How else she had convinced herself this was going to play out I don't know, but she was at least wavering.

As to the characters left, we can hold out hope that the show continues its themes under another name maybe. Certainly there is more to explore and we even know there are spy stories to explore in the run up to the discovery of the Death Star 2 plans. But given this was more critical success than financial I'm not holding my breath and will just enjoy what we did get.

I have only watched the first two episodes, but know who surives. With that being said, there are opportunities for characters to appear in the comics and books. The main Star Wars comic just relaunched last week and takes place right after The Battle of Jakku and the formation of the New Republic. It is also possible with there being shows that take place in this time frame, that they could return to live action.

She was uneasy about what the scale of the Ghorman Massacre would be, but what caused her to breakdown in that episode was clearly Syril's death. As to the finale, she's had her career implode, lost everything she still had, and is now in prison. I'd be crying too.

Nah, she's in for life. When Cassian was sent to prison, the Empire increased all sentences by a factor of 10 I believe. Even if her case was re-examined by the New Republic, they would know what she did. There's no way she's getting out.

The reality of her situation. On Ghorman, it was because she realized the magnitude of what she had done. In prison, that she was responsible for destroying her own life. She might end up taking her own life by stepping on the floor.

Amazing season. I definitely want to see more of Mon Mothma. There's a lot of potential left for her between this and Ahsoka and even beyond that.

In the Mandalorian, they show that there's a New Republic Amnesty Program where they rehabilitate and reintegrate former Imperials. I wouldn't be surprised she gets out.
