My new head canon is that everyone who survived is around for A New Hope, but die on the way to Hoth in the Ison corridor or something.
I like to think that they survived, but their time of heroism was over, so there's not much else to say. Not everybody is always central to important things. Sometimes you do something really important, but it's a data point, not a trajectory. Like a WW2 vet who got medals for unbelievable feats and then went on to quietly work middle management at a chain of car dealerships. One of the themes of Andor (in context) is the nihilism that heroes are eventually forgotten, if they were ever even noticed.
