There's lots of things that suck. You can't police everything especially stuff that's none of anyone else's business than the people involved. If you took revenge on everyone who did something you think "sucks" you wouldn't even have a society you'd have total anarchy.
Who said anything about taking revenge? I haven't done anything to this CEO besides laugh. I just think the affair makes him a shitty person, so I have much less empathy for him.

I wouldn't be surprised if the media and major platforms latched onto it and astroturfed its popularity to distract from the Epstein scandal

My thoughts exactly. The pro-Epstein people are probably so thankful this happened so that normies will go gaga over something so trivial and forget all about the Epstein crap.
Tell my tale to those who ask. Tell it truly, the ill deeds, along with the good, and let me be judged accordingly. The rest.. is silence.

Shouldn't have to resign over your own personal relationship problems, simple. This isn't much different than being fired for "not being a good christian".
I don't care about this bloke as an individual, but the implications of corporations policing your private (legal) behaviour aren't nice.

Honestly, if someone's this stupid with hiding an affair then it brings into question how stupid they are about keeping company secrets under wraps.

You can absolutely lose your job for making the company look bad, and both the CEO and HR has made their company look like untrustworthy dogshit.

Makes no sense for you to be coming in swinging over this.

Again, considering her role in the company, this isn't just personal. Are you just going to keep ignoring that part?

If it was just "he was having relationship problems", nobody would give a fuck.

The reason people latched on to this and he lost his job was because he's having an affair with one of his direct subordinates, who also happens to be the head of the HR department, and they both reacted to it in an incredibly weird and obvious way that drew negative attention to the company and tarnished its name.

Not that the name needed much tarnishing considering it's just a company that pushes AI into things, but still.
Once again, its not so much about the cheating as it is about how wildly inappropriate the relationship is to begin with. Even if they were both single it still wouldnt be ok. If he was cheating with some random person then I would agree that forcing him out would be too much, but thats not what happened

How in the fuck is there even an argument about all of this?

He was a CEO who was in a relationship with his head of HR. That's a common sense no-no in any corporate setting.
Thanks for reading!

Not condoning what he did, it was horrible, but really they both reacted in the most suspicious way possible.

Had they saw themselves on camera, waved, kissed, really just did anything besides literally ducking down to hide, the camera would have moved on and people would have thought nothing of it. That video would not have been uploaded to the internet, nobody would have done any research because it would have looked like a normal couple.

It is specifically because they tried to avoid the camera that ended up getting them caught.

Its genuinely wild that he doesnt think a CEO banging his head of HR who reports to him is an ethics violation. Im not against workplace romances, but a boss should not be sleeping with their employees full stop. Sketch seems hyper focused on the cheating aspect and thinks thats the only problem here
Hope rides alone
Also, imagine being an employee for that company. How are you going to trust HR with anything when the head of it is banging the CEO?

I mean you probably shouldn't trust HR regardless, but still.

I think cheating is an issue in someone's private life and should not be a sackable offence.

Do we really want corporations policing our morals and private behaviour?

it is one when you sleep with the head of HR

that's not only inappropriate, but usually a fireable offense anywhere

it's like a manager sleeping with someone below them
This is my sig. Don't like it, then don't look at it.
If the guy got caught on camera with Some Lady, then yeah, firing is excessive.

This ain't that, this is in fact the company's business.

He can but he cant get caught and publicly humiliate the company.

His job is literally representing the company which he made kind of impossible.

Any word about the woman, like does she resign too. Wouldnt be fair to just fire one of them when they both engaged in shitty behavior.

I don't get it. If you knew that having this affair could jeopardize your careers, why would you go out to a coldplay concert where a lot of people could see you? Seems way too risky.
