The hortator/nerevarine segment of Morrowind inspired this topic.

Chateau Irenicus isn't bad but if I live for another seven centuries and then decide to play Baldur's Gate II again I will still be sick of it.

I definitely agree with mountain of giants if only because giant is such a shitty boss

FFX - all the mini games. Lightening, Blitz Ball, etc. Why doesn't have to suck on an HD remaster?
Less is more. Everything you want, isn't everything you need.
Okami is like 10 hours too long. Maybe even more than that.
The Croc sections in Arkham Asylum. They're repetitive and boring.

The mine cart ride out of the Magitek Factory in FF6 aint great.

Not that its particularly challenging or annoying gameplay-wise, it just looks like complete ass.

UNI2: Phonon | GBVSR: Zeta/Nier
Arizona Diamondbacks: 47-50
honestly this is a pretty recent one but in Trails Through Daybreak the ending sequence before the final dungeon where you're just running around Edith is one of the biggest slogs in the series. I was actually beyond bored doing it

Atlantica in Kingdom Hearts 2.
Hambo's alt.
The lead up to the final battle as well as the final battle itself in BG3. The lead up can be a slog because of how easy it is to anccidentally draw in anll the other enemies in the areq (though the part right after is fine imo). The final battle is hurt all because of Magic Missile spam.

I'm a weirdo who actually liked Gnomeregan. >_> Now, Sunken Temple and Maraudon, those were some bad instances.

The mountain in MGS3. It's just really annoying. Definitely the hardest part to sneak through, IME.

I surprisingly don't have any areas of DS2 that I particularly hate, but I don't really feel strongly about any of that game.
The stars in the sky will lend me their light;
To bring me closer to heaven with you.
The Forsaken Fortress stealth mission at the beginning of Wind Waker. It's what stops me from replays since it's right there at the beginning. The Triforce Hunt is pretty bad too but not as bad as I thought it would be when I last replayed the game.

Bravely Default: You know why.

Some of the underground areas in Pikmin 2 are obnoxious, especially the ones found in the final area. Oh, and of course, Submerged Castle.

Any swamp area in the Souls games, but they're kind of iconic at this point.

Surprised anyone would say any palace but Okumuras Palace. Especially with the weak lead up to it.

That and the pinball one are in competition with each other.
