For me, it's ketchup, mustard, relish, and onion. That's the perfect dog.

That's about as fancy as I get, though; I don't like anything else added aside from those. But I know a lot of people really load 'em up.

And unless I'm making them at home, the only restaurant I order hot dogs from are at Costco. They are so damn good. And cheap.

Ketchup, Mustard, Relish, Kraft Singles, sometimes bacon and hot sauce. That's about it. If I'm eating a Costco dog, its either ketchup or nothing on it. Their hot dogs are juicy enough to not need toppings.

Just ketchup. But I'm also not a fan of the taste of hot dogs, so I rarely eat them. Last time I had one was like 10 or 11 years ago, IIRC.

Funny enough I was never much of a relish fan growing up but I like to garden and do canning/home preserving and I was given a recipe that is just amazing. It is a slightly sweet relish but instead of standard pickle relish it uses zucchini. It's fucking amazing and everyone I give it to goes crazy for it and wants me to make some for them. Every year right at this time of year I make some. One time a couple years ago I had so many requests I busted my ass for two weeks and made 192 jars. 16 cases worth. Here it is.

So I will use my own relish but. If I don't use relish I can use mustard and onions and I also like sauerkraut. Just no ketchup. But I would much prefer a bratwurst rather than a hot dog but I will still eat hot dogs. And when the fall hits and I make my pot of chili I always make chili dogs loaded with green onion, white onion, jalapenos and hot banana peppers.

I put the onions on the bun first, then the hot dog on top with either Tabasco or Worcestershire sauce and sometimes chili.

Whatever I fucking feel like! Last time I made hotdogs at home I mixed habanero condiment with sweet and sour sauce and put Kewpie in the bun under the dog.

As a general rule, I dont eat them. Always feel like theres something better available.
