Just tried looking up the reference. Never saw Little Nicky so I'm not getting the reference. Sorry.

Anyway I was in a bookshop/stationary shop (WH Smith) and there was book signing that just ended. I was just making my way through and past a collection of people but I had stopped and someone offered their hand to shake. I politely shook it and smile at him just cause I was on the spot. When I was paying for the stuff I bought I noticed the sign, Henry Winkler book signing and that's when I realised that's who's hand I shook just a few moments before.

Whats this about Tublar Bells? I love MO.
Vivian Stanshall was the Master of Ceremonies on the original release, introducing the instruments as they got added to the mix (double speed guitar, Spanish guitar, introducing... tubular bells, etc).

For the 2003 remaster, John Cleese took over that role. I asked him what that recording session was like, and he responded that he didn't actually record anything for it. It was a very brief m&g so I couldn't get into specifics, but it's interesting that either he had no recollection of the session or, I assume, he gave the clear for them to use previously recorded voicework and cut him a cheque.

Didn't really meet him but saw Michael J. Fox in Vancouver years and years ago.

I'm not sure who's the most famous person I've actually interacted with.

I talked with Kenny G for about 10 minutes years ago when he gave a concert where I work. He's a pretty tiny man, like 5'2", barely 110 lbs. Very friendly to talk to though.

Theres this comedy country singer named Cletus T Judd. Hes kinda like Weird Al but country. He was at the county fair to perform once and I was there with my mom and sister. My sister was part of some cookie baking event for 4H and he came over and had a few cookies and then he hung out with me for a bit. I was like 7-8. I dont even remember what he looked like I just remember the name

My dad met Mila Kunis once.
I used to listen to Cletus T. Judd all the time as a kid. Don't think I've ever found anyone else who actually remembers him.

I haven't met a lot of celebritires. My uncle knew Quentin Tarantino pretty well though, since he was a staff member at a place one of his movies was filmed in, and said Tarantino came in often during filming

I wasnt going to mention people my friend knew because of contraints of topic. Anyway the ones my friend knew was Susan Day. They shared a flight. I dont remember where his flight orginated from. It was a long flight that I do know DC to LA maybe? Because of his Job he also met some politician/military leaders. I remember him talking to Colin Powell. He didnt have kind words to say about him. No not racist. Just thought he was politicing when he should be focused on his job.

I met and had decent length conversations with Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Greg Maddux, and John Roberts. (paying for me to get into an event where Maddux was speaking and meeting with a small group after was a Fathers Day gift from my awesome wife. I was very involved in Democratic politics in the 90s and met a lot of famous politicians of the time through that work. I met Roberts at a legal event I still regret attending).

I also went to HS and college with two NBA first round draft picks who had pretty good careers and are fairly famous in the sports world. I didnt have deep friendship with those guys, but we were acquaintances who would say hi in the halls and go to the same parties and such. I got to play some basketball with both, and they were amazing to watch even when they were taking it easy.

Edited to add that I was with a group of college kids who ran into Senator/actor Fred Thompson in a local cheesesteak spot in DC when he was at the height of his career. He hung out with us and talked politics for a couple hours. I dont have much use for Republicans generally, and he is not exceptionally famous, but I always thought it was cool that he took the time to engage with some interested students about politics. It was such a different time.

HIZAKI from Versailles - Long-story-short, he sat on my lap and the room I was in full of fans got massively jealous of me when he walked away. Anime Boston.

Ive told this story on CE several times before but Ill tell it again

2019 my now wife and I went to Bonnaroo, and we ended up staying in Nashville for a few nights after. We didnt want to go to the dumb broadway bars so we went to printers alley that had more blues and rock music. We tried to go to this place called Skulls Rainbow Room but it was too busy so we went elsewhere for a while, and then later in the evening like ~10:30pm (this was a Monday night, mind you) we went back and whatever show had been there was over so there were just a few people at the bar. We sit down for some cocktails.

after a while, a small group of 5 people walked in and sit down next to us. I noticed one guy had a vampire weekend shirt, and they had just played a concert in town that night. So on our way out I say to the guy, hey, how was the show? And he confused looks at me like, what? I say oh you have a vampire weekend shirt on so I assume you went to the show. He says oh yeah, they did, it was great. And we start chatting about why were in town, how was Bonnaroo, he says this is a great spot you decided to come tonight

then out of nowhere he says hey do you like NSYNC? Im like uh what? Yeah sure I was a fan back in the day

and he says do you want to meet my friend JC? And he waves over this other guy from his group whos JC from NSYNC. And then I realize Ive been talking to Chris Kirkpatrick this whole time

anyway they ask us if we want a photo and my wife kinda freaks out and we say yes, we take a picture with them and then leave

And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life?

My dad grew up with Buster Douglas so I've met him a few times.

I played in a summer basketball tournament with Bow Wow back when he had just started to become famous. We were supposed to play his team but he had to leave so we all got autographed copies of his single. I was so mad. I was ready to dunk on his little ass.

didn't necessarily meet him, but a former NFL player, Del Rogers, who played for both the Packers and 49s came to my class when I was a freshmen in high school.

he was a sports broadcaster at the time, and my teacher pointed me and another girl out (they were speaking privately), and I assume it was because we were the only black students in the class.
